{"id":233,"date":"2026-05-18T09:35:41","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T07:35:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aerelisadvisory.eu\/?p=233"},"modified":"2026-05-18T09:35:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T07:35:42","slug":"electrification-is-quietly-changing-industrial-business-models","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aerelisadvisory.eu\/fr\/2026\/05\/18\/electrification-is-quietly-changing-industrial-business-models\/","title":{"rendered":"Electrification is quietly changing industrial business models"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past few posts, I wrote about electrification, material handling, and carbon accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At first glance, these topics may seem separate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are gradually converging into a new industrial logic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For decades, industrial performance was mainly measured through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>productivity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cost<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>uptime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>scale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Electrification changes this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once equipment becomes electric, operations become measurable in far greater detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy consumption.<br>Fleet utilization.<br>Charging patterns.<br>Carbon emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And once these parameters become measurable, they also become manageable, optimizable\u2026 and eventually monetizable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where industrial business models start evolving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A machine is no longer only a machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It becomes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a data source<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an energy asset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a carbon variable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>part of a broader optimization ecosystem<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The same shift is now emerging across multiple sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy infrastructure.<br>Logistics.<br>Industrial fleets.<br>Circular materials.<br>Carbon markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This does not mean every new concept will succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Far from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it does suggest that electrification is not simply an engineering transition anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is becoming a financial, operational, and strategic transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And perhaps this is the most important point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The companies that will benefit most from this transition may not necessarily be those with the best technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But those capable of connecting:<br>technology, operations, regulation, financing, and industrial execution into coherent business models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is usually where real value creation begins.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past few posts, I wrote about electrification, material handling, and carbon accounting.
